Ok, so fertility friend is really making me nuts. It has now changed my ovulation twice in the last 2 days. Yesterday I entered my temp and it changed me from solid lines showing ovulation on CD 14 to dotted lines showing ovulation on CD 17. This freaks me out a little because I had stopped doing opks after I got my positive so I don't know how long they remained positive and CD 17 was the first day my CM had dried up completely. I still think I ovulated on CD 15 or 16. I guess I will see when AF arrives?? It seems like my luteal phase has been around 13 days so I guess I will look at when I start and count backwards. I'm just getting so nervous about starting now. Does everyone feel like this. I felt I had a fairly good handle on when I ovulated in months past. Even months I didn't temp very well I still felt pretty confident. I always knew about when I should get a positive opk based on CM. Now I'm worried that I'm not going to get my timing right and I'm not going to get pregnant and then if I don't, I'm going to be mad at myself for jumping the gun.
Well, one more night of work, thank goodness. I'm tired. Then I have at least one night off. I'm still waiting to here from the other job as to a schedule for upcoming weeks. One thing that's kind of interesting as far as my upcoming AI. So far I've told a lot of people of my plans to try to get pregnant. However as far as my plans to try so soon, I haven't told anyone. Not even my best friend. I guess I'm just nervous it won't work. Ok, gotta think positive though. It will work. I think.

I hear ya! FF will change your O date based solely on temps. I've had months it changed completely and months where it only gave me a dashed line. The BBT is a good guide, but the OPKs are probably more accurate. My temps tend to rise and fall and rise again with my O generally on the fall between the rises... FF doesn't much like that. Definitely go by your OPK. And then use the BBT as a back-up and also to give you some indication of whether or not you're pregnant. If you reach the end of your luteal phase and your temps are still consistently high, that's a good sign!
Good luck! Don't let the temping scare you. It's not fool-proof. Put more stock in your OPK and CBFM readings.
how r u doing your temps? I work nights also and thought I couldnt depend on temps unless you took them on the same time every day. Let me know..thanks
I think we all go through the guessing game. I always think that with more months of observing I will get better at it, but some months are harder to tell than others. Hang in there girl. My best advice is go with the OPK's and your CBFM. And you know the girls on NW are always giving great advice!!! Have a good weekend.
Take out the CM.
I always have to take out the CM and when i do everything looks perfect and is what i thought it should be.
Good luck!
Hi Michell,
I'm right there with you on the FF mess! This cycle FF didn't even show an O for me, and I didn't get a peak on my CBFM nor did I ever get a +OPK. Very frustrating. My temp chart looks like the Rocky Mountains. I've been under alot of stress at work though and working lots of hours so I'm hoping just that stress knocked things out of whack. I'm hoping that I o'd and it was just a short surge or something. My lines came close a couple of times. Anyway we've decided to go for it anyway and give it a shot as planned in Feb. I'm on CD2 so I'm looking at AI'ing sometime between 1/31 and 2/5 depending on when I O (usually O between CD 15-18). I'm glad you're going to go for it too! We can share in our anxiousness of the first attempt!
