Uncomfortable
Ok so here's where I do something that I am not very comfortable doing but thought I would put this out there at least and see what happens. I was very fortunate to receive left over medications from Bleu to go towards my upcoming IVF cycle. I'm still a bit short on what I will need for the cycle but until I get final word from my clinic as to what I need I'm not sure how much short. I am guessing I will need some additional men0pur (maybe 10 vials) and either some f0llistim or g0nal f although I'm not sure how much yet of that. So I thought I would put this out there to see if any one did have any left over amounts or whatever that they would like to get out of their fridge or off their kitchen/bathroom counter. I've got nothing but I hope you get what you need. I passed on my never used f0llistim last year to a friend cycling through an IVF.

Would you still want some menopur vials even if I don't have 10? I think I might have 5 or so?

will totally keep my ear out! I had a friend with some left over meds but she just donated them to someone else. But seriously- we should be able to get you covered!
(also- I used to beg the clinic for donated meds. some women donate injectables back to the RE...might be worth a phone call)

God ...I just read a post somewhere today where someone was offering up their left over meds. I'll have to go through my reader and see if I can find who. I love a treasure hunt!
First time poster here... I second begging your clinic for donated meds. I donate all my unused meds back to the clinic and I know that if you ask enough times they will help you out. Worth a shot. Wish I had something to donate. GOOD LUCK!
I wish I had some to post over to you!! I hope you get everything you need. I get so cranky when I hear of how IVF is so damn expensive in other countries.

How does your RE feel about using slightly expired meds? I've got gonal-F with an expiration date of 9/08. My doc was fine with me using it a few months past that date, but I doubt I'll be able to. Let me know if you need it and I'll send it on!
No menopur on hand, but lots of hugs and good wishes that everything comes together for you this cycle!

Ah....I have no luck here. Not only am I still unaware with the *whole* set of medicines, I guess I will end up buying everything. I am taking the protocol, one fortnight at a time!

Yes, there are some weirdos out there but most everyone was kind and helpful and honest. I never got screwed. I used to get boxes of menopur (5 vials/box) for $100-$150.
Try donated drugs too. Good luck.
